“Set yourself on fire, seek those who fan your flames” ~ Rumi

Indigo is a woman who can make you both sparkle and smoulder.
With a radiance that’s anchored in a bohemian childhood and a sophistication developed by acting school attendance, it’s no wonder this star-child has a unearthed sensual appeal that comes pouring through every one of her pensive shots.
When not setting the camera aflame for Stonemen, Indigo sings, makes jewels and serves up potent youth elixirs to detoxing Bondi folk.
And so, we were dying to find out more about this intriguing babe.

Tell us a bit about your background, where you grew up…
“I grew up in a very non conventional family! Both my parents are musicians so there was always a lot of creativity in the house/s which has definitely shaped me as a person… I spent most of my time in Sydney, the Hunter Valley and Bellingen, always surrounded by nature.”

Were you always a model? How did your career begin?
I don’t know if I would call myself a model 🙂 I actually went to acting school for 3 yrs when I finished high school so I guess doing little shoots on the side came with that… Usually it’s just for friends or for people who have a similar vision that I get excited to collaborate with.

What else do you do? What are your other talents, dreams, projects and aspirations?
I am still doing little bits and pieces of acting. Also writing a lot. I’ve written a short film which we are in the process of getting up. I LOVE singing, it’s probably my favourite thing to do 🙂 I also make jewellery (check it out http://lunasparke.bigcartel.com ) I work part time for a beautiful beautiful company called Orchard St. I’m also about to do my yoga teacher training in Bali which I am super excited about! I have big dreams! 🙂 Guess I’m a bit of a ‘slashie’ is that what the phrase is?

What do you love most about what you do?
I really love collaborating with people who are passionate and have similar visions and values to mine! “Set yourself on fire, seek those who fan your flames” good old Rumi!

How would you describe your style or aesthetic?
Well, my mum says I’m a raging hippy 🙂 others say I look like I’m off a commune and other people say I look like I’m straight from the 60s/70s… It really changes though! Mostly it’s pretty bohemian although sometimes Charmed and Buffy will rub off a bit and the 90s takes over!!!

What are some misconceptions people have about the model life?
Well I really haven’t lived that life, but models are just people and I think the pressures placed on them is incredibly stifling. To have to look and be a certain way… It’s not just some ‘easy’ job, there are lot of psychological issues that are a huge weight to a lot of my friends.

What is your daily routine like?
I swim every morning! It has saved my life and keeps me really grounded in this crazy world 🙂 I do a lot of yoga, write, work, create, see my friends who are the most amazing people in the universe… OH! And YUMMY FOOD.

Where do you draw your inspiration from?
History! Always! Things of or from the past. Writers, eras, songs, my own life, past emotion… It all inspires me and influences my work.

What is a career highlight to date and why?
It’s all the small things that make up the bigger picture… When I’m 90 I’ll look back and tell you the things that stand out 🙂

What made you decide to collaborate with Stonemen?
Well Marc and I got chatting, I think about a big old hippy bus or caravan… That was enough to hook me and we decided to shoot 🙂 I’m looking forward to the next one!!!
